BLACKGATE – MAJOR WEAPONS UPDATE
Weapons aboard BlackGate Station have been upgraded for deeper, more tactical combat.
All weapons—except the Pulse SMG—now require interactive reloading and all offer TWO HANDED fire modes.
These weapon upgrades will help astronauts fight back against the alien player.
Weapon Changes
Pulse SMG (NEW)– Fully automatic with no reload, but overheats and enters a cooldown if fired too long.
Nova Cannon (NEW) – Fires a concentrated beam of energy for precise, high-damage strikes. This is very cool.
Energy Shotgun – Pump up to five times to amplify damage before firing.
Grenade Launcher – Five big booms. Devastating area damage.
Flamethrower – Now ignites the alien for a limited time, dealing burn damage over duration.
Other Changes
Taser effect increased against the Evolved Alien for balance.
New visual effect for Alien ink spray.
Updated sound effects across weapons and environments.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where Hide HUD setting appeared enabled but HUD remained visible until toggled off/on.
Fixed an issue where speed lines sometimes persisted after player death.
Resolved exploit that allowed unintended alien tracking behavior.
Players in the solo lobby now spawn facing the correct direction toward the UI.
Fixed mismatch in displayed specimens across players in the lobby.
Fixed issue allowing wires in the Bridge Room to stretch unrealistically across the station.
