Goodbye TarzanVR
An Important Update Regarding Tarzan VR
Hello everyone,
We want to share an important update regarding Tarzan VR.
We are in the process of delisting Tarzan VR on Meta Quest and Steam, with PlayStation to follow. As part of this sunset, we are reducing the price of the Tarzan Trilogy Edition (Deluxe) to $4.99 through the end of the month on Steam, Quest, and PSVR. This is the final opportunity to purchase the game.
Why this is happening
We’re doing this for two reasons.
Market Challenges: While we would like to renew the license and keep Tarzan available for new players, the current state of the VR market makes it increasingly difficult to keep legacy titles active across platforms.
Industry Pressure: With recent industry-wide studio closures and layoffs—particularly at Meta—it’s clear the market is under real pressure. At this stage, renewing the license for this IP is simply not commercially viable.
That said, we know VR enthusiasts still love this medium and want to support independent studios. We are one of those studios. While Tarzan is being sunset, this final price gives fans a chance to pick it up and support the team.
A Note on the Experience
If you’re on PC VR, this is where the game truly shines. The original team at Stonepunk Studios did phenomenal work, and the game remains visually beautiful and genuinely fun.
We also want to sincerely thank Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. for believing in us and allowing us to bring Tarzan to VR. It’s a project we’re incredibly proud of, and we would be honored to work with them again in the future. They are excellent stewards of the Tarzan IP.
Important Dates and Details
Final Purchase Date: You’ll have until the end of the month to purchase the game. After that, it will be removed from stores and will no longer be purchasable.
Ownership: If you already own it, nothing changes—it will remain in your library and fully playable.
Other Titles: This decision does not affect our other games.
If you’d like to continue supporting us, please check out BlackGate or Jungle Man on the Meta Quest Store. Both titles are active, growing, and doing well.
We make games for you. Thank you for your continued support of Fun Train, independent studios, and the VR industry as a whole.
